Choosing the pole

EXEL CARBON INDEX

The outcome of Exel's quality assurance program coupled with the Co-Winding production process guarantees superior shaft characteristics, which the company stands behind. This is confirmed by continuous praise from users worldwide.

The Exel Carbon Index (CI) was developed with this in mind. In order for Exel to stand behind it's products' quality and their intended use, one must successfully select a model specific to one's individual needs. By considering the user's weight and frequency of exercise, the CI determines the correct pole model for the user. CI describes a number of important pole shaft characteristics - carbon fiber content, stiffness, durability, and the weight of the pole. All Exel pole shafts are defined according to these abovementioned characteristics.

The CI has been further developed to address the demands of the industry regarding the carbon fiber content of the shaft. The CI ranges from 1000 to 100. For example a CI of 990 is applicable to a 100% Extreme carbon shaft.
